La Grange Public Library presents musician Steve Justman on August 10
The La Grange Public Library will present musician Steve Justman and his program The Roots of Americana on Monday, August 10 at 7 p.m.
The whole family will enjoy this musical revue that features vintage American folk music and classic country tunes. Justman uses his moving voice, as well as his guitar and banjo to tell the story of this unforgettable era of American history.

La Grange Public Library to host Writer’s Workshop on August 12
The La Grange Public Library will host a Writer’s Workshop on Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m.
This on-going workshop offers adults a place to bring their poems, manuscripts and other written works for feedback from other writers. In a casual atmosphere, writers can share their work and receive tips for better writing.

La Grange Public Library to host Voluntary Simplicity group meeting
on August 24 at 7 p.m.
The La Grange Library will host its monthly Voluntary Simplicity group meeting on Monday, August 24 at 7 p.m.
The group will discuss ways to live a simple and more fulfilling life. Attendees will learn more about living with purpose and without as much stuff. Participants are encouraged to bring excess produce from their gardens to the August meeting. New members are always welcome.

La Grange Library features knitting group on Monday evenings
The La Grange Public Library invites knitters of all levels to attend the Knack for Knitting or Knot group every Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Library. The group will meet on August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 in the Tyler Duelm room at the Library.
This group meets on a weekly basis to share their knowledge of knitting, patterns and stitch techniques with other knitters. From beginning knitter to advanced needle crafter, all are welcome to share and learn the art of knitting with the Knack for Knitting or Knot group.
